The Smilodon, often called the "saber-toothed tiger," lived in America around 12,000 years ago, at the end of the last Ice Age. This large cat could reach 2.5 meters in length and was distinguished by its impressive curved canines, which were over 20 cm long.

Interestingly, despite their size, their fangs were fragile and were primarily used for slicing flesh, not killing prey. They likely hunted in packs, allowing them to take down large herbivores like bison or giant ground sloths.

The Papo Smilodon figurine captures all the power of this legendary predator: bulging muscles, spectacular fangs, and a realistic attack posture. An ideal model to complete a prehistoric collection and explore the era of extinct giants.
