Hermit Crab Figurine

Reference 56054

€6,99

With its protective shell and large claws, the hermit crab is a small crustacean that is as fascinating as it is endearing. It is found on beaches, rocky shores, and even in shallow waters.

Surprisingly, unlike true crabs, hermit crabs don't have a hard shell on their abdomen. To protect themselves, they live in empty gastropod shells, which they replace as they grow. This behavior makes them true "tenants of the sea," always looking for a new home. Some live in colonies, which allows them to exchange or "trade" shells between individuals!

This Papo figurine realistically recreates the hermit crab: textured shell, slender legs, and characteristic claws. An ideal model to enrich a collection of marine animals, invent fun stories, or educate children about the incredible survival strategies of this crustacean.
