Agile and resilient, the chamois is a symbol of the European mountains. It is recognizable by its brown coat, its hooked horns, and the black band that adorns its face.
Accustomed to steep terrain, it lives in the Alps, the Pyrenees, and other mountain ranges, where it moves with remarkable ease. Surprisingly, the chamois can cross steep slopes and leap more than 6 meters in a single jump, allowing it to easily escape its predators. A herbivore, it feeds on grasses, buds, and lichens, adapting its diet according to the seasons.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the chamois: slender silhouette, sculpted horns and dynamic posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the mountains or to educate children about the fascinating life of alpine fauna.
