Mouflon Figurine

Reference 53018

€8,50

Recognizable by its large, spirally curved horns, the mouflon is an impressive inhabitant of mountains and rocky areas. A wild cousin of the domestic sheep, it moves with ease on steep slopes and rugged terrain.

Living in herds, it feeds on grasses, lichens, and young shoots. Surprisingly, male horns can exceed 80 cm in length and are used to impress rivals during mating season fights. Despite their power, these clashes are rarely fatal, as the horns absorb shocks. Mouflon also plays an essential role in balancing ecosystems by limiting the proliferation of certain plants.

This Papo figurine realistically recreates the mouflon: spiral horns, detailed fur, and robust posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the mountains, or educate children about the diversity of European wildlife.
