Pyrenean Bear Figurine

Reference 50032

€8,50

Solid and imposing, the Pyrenean bear is one of the symbols of our mountain wildlife. A subspecies of the brown bear, it is recognizable by its massive silhouette, thick fur, and elongated snout. Long threatened with extinction, it is now the subject of reintroduction and protection programs.

An opportunistic omnivore, it feeds on berries, roots, honey, but also fish and small animals. Surprisingly, before entering hibernation, the bear accumulates significant fat reserves, which can double its weight to survive the winter in its den. Its exceptional sense of smell allows it to detect a food source several kilometers away.

This Papo figurine realistically reproduces the Pyrenean bear: thick fur, powerful paws, and robust posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent mountain stories, or educate children about the preservation of local species.
