Adapted to the extreme conditions of the Arctic, the polar hare is a true expert at surviving in the cold. Its thick white fur in winter serves as both camouflage in the snow and protection against low temperatures.
Fast and agile, it can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h to lose its predators such as the Arctic fox or the polar wolf. Surprisingly, unlike other hares, the polar hare often lives in groups, sometimes of several dozen individuals, which allows it to better withstand extreme weather conditions. A herbivore, it feeds on moss, buds, and young shoots, which it can even find under the snow thanks to its keen sense of smell.
This Papo figurine faithfully recreates the polar hare: thick fur, short ears, and realistic posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the heart of icy landscapes, or educate children about the incredible adaptations of Arctic wildlife.
