Pentaceratops is a herbivorous dinosaur that lived in North America about 75 million years ago, during the Late Cretaceous period. It could reach 8 meters in length and was recognizable by its large frill and five horns.
Interestingly, its large frill was probably used for defense against predators, but also to attract attention during displays. Its spectacular horns made it one of the most impressive ceratopsians.
