Mysterious and agile, the clouded leopard is a rare feline found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It owes its name to its unique coat, covered in large, dark, cloud-like patches that provide perfect camouflage in dense vegetation.
Although medium-sized compared to other big cats, the clouded leopard has exceptionally long canines, proportionately among the largest in the animal kingdom. Surprisingly, it is an exceptional climber, capable of descending trees headfirst and leaping nimbly from branch to branch to surprise its prey. Nocturnal and secretive, it feeds on monkeys, birds, and small deer.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the clouded leopard: nuanced fur, muscular silhouette and stealthy posture. An ideal model to complete a collection of wild animals, invent exotic stories or to educate children about the beauty of this endangered and still little-known feline.
