Iguana Figurine

€9,95

With its prehistoric appearance and scaly body, the iguana is one of the most fascinating reptiles in Central and South America. It is recognizable by its spiky dorsal crest, long tail, and throat adorned with a fold of skin called a dewlap.

A herbivore, it feeds mainly on leaves, flowers, and fruits, which it finds in the tropical vegetation where it spends most of its time. Surprisingly, the iguana is an excellent climber and can drop into the water to escape danger, where it swims with great ease. Thanks to its ability to regulate its temperature by alternating between sunbathing and shaded areas, it adapts perfectly to hot climates.

This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the iguana: serrated crest, detailed scales and realistic posture. An ideal model to enrich a collection of wild animals, invent exotic stories or educate children about the diversity of the reptile world.
