Peaceful and endearing, the koala is an iconic Australian marsupial. Recognizable by its thick gray fur, black snout, and large, rounded ears, it spends most of its time clinging to eucalyptus branches.
A highly specialized herbivore, it feeds almost exclusively on eucalyptus leaves, which it digests using a unique system. Surprisingly, despite its reputation for sleepiness, the koala can spend up to 20 hours a day resting to conserve energy. The young, called "joeys," grow up in their mother's pouch before climbing her back to explore the trees.
This Papo figurine faithfully reproduces the koala: dense fur, expressive muzzle and characteristic posture. An ideal model to complete a collection of wild animals, invent stories in the heart of the Australian forest or raise children's awareness of the protection of this endangered marsupial.
